  • Track 1: Virtuele Servicemonteur, Newton, agentic AI, reasoning models, and digital twins

AIndustry Lab is an AINed/AIC4NL InnovatieLab consortium for applied AI in the technical manufacturing industry. This is not a classic client project. It is a multi-year national tender in which Step into Liquid participates as AI Tech R&D partner alongside the Hogeschool van Amsterdam Industrial Digital Twins lab and the wider TechValley / Brainport Digital Factory ecosystem.

The lab develops an industrial AI stack that connects agentic AI, reasoning models, digital twins, model-based engineering, and formal validation. The practical direction is explicit: translate operator intent and service knowledge into diagnosis, simulation, and controlled intervention proposals before anything touches the real installation.

Step into Liquid’s role sits in the first innovation track around the Virtuele Servicemonteur and Newton: on-premise/offline service assistance, multimodal technical-document ingestion, structured validation inside real company workflows, and interfaces that make machine data usable for technicians.

The reason this belongs in the running work list is the same reason the training exists: the hardest AI work is not a demo. It is consortium-grade R&D with funding rules, industrial partners, adoption thresholds, and systems that have to earn trust in live technical environments.
